A walking route along above and underground streams in Beverwijk, Heemskerk and Wijk aan Zee.
For a large part it leads along above and underground streams and watercourses that have flowed through this region for centuries. Of all watercourses, one is very special: the Scheijbeeck. A natural brook (dune riot) that has formed the municipal border between Beverwijk and Velsen since the 8th century. Once sung by Vondel and Gorter. This stream - together with many other anonymous streams - is the guideline for this signposted walking route.
