Cycling through the Heerlijckheid Gemert

This nature reserve was once a large heathland, but now there are plenty of pine trees growing there. It is wonderful to travel for miles here through the fragrant greenery. Further on you will pass the estates De Groote Slink and De Krim. Here too, conifers predominate. Just past the mining village of Handel you pass through the gently sloping Strijbosch, a surprising nature reserve. Get off a little further at KOKS Binnen & Buiten Enjoy. At Ridderplein in Gemert you have a view of Gemert Castle. This attraction originally dates from 1391, the current main building dates from 1740. The last part of your route you cycle through the Grotelse Bos and some characteristic Brabant hamlets. Now that's a nice way to relax!
