Cycling through the Lordship of Gemert

This nature reserve was once a large heathland, now there are many pine trees growing here. It is wonderful to cycle for miles through the fragrant greenery. Further on you will pass the estates De Groote Slink and De Krim. Here too, conifers predominate. Just past the reclamation village of Handel you will pass through the gently rolling Strijbosch, a surprising nature reserve. A little further on, take a break at KOKS Binnen & Buiten Genieten. At the Ridderplein in Gemert you will look out over Gemert Castle. This attraction originally dates from 1391, the current main building dates from 1740. The last part of your route you will cycle through the Grotelse Bos and several characteristic Brabant hamlets. Now that is a nice way to relax!
