Oudenbosch is perfect for a walk. Put on your walking shoes and be surprised by the rich (Catholic) cultural history of this Brabant village.
Guestels Low
The route starts at Boerderij De Zellebergen. Here you can first enjoy a coffee with something tasty, before you walk into the polder. You walk a bit along a canal dug in 1300. This watercourse dates from the period when the area was reclaimed and Oudenbosch was created. Further on you come along the edge of the Gastels Laag. Many special plants grow in this damp nature reserve. About 40 species of birds also breed there.
Papal Guard
At the Markt you will pass the Natural History and Ethnology Museum. The collection consists of objects that were brought back from mission areas. The museum is open at set times. The Zouave Museum is located in the former town hall from 1776. The Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara dates from 1880, it is a modest copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. After a short walk through the polder it is time for something tasty at De Zellebergen.
