Cycling route between Laren and Lettele

From Laren you drive on car-free roads through the Achterhoek. After loosening your legs, you arrive at the Gorsselse Heide nature reserve. During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, this area served as a military training area. Nowadays it is wonderfully peaceful to cycle in the coniferous and deciduous forests. At junction 29 you drive past Kasteel Dorth. The current country house dates from 1930, but had four predecessors. The first castle was built in the fourteenth century. Further on you drive through De Bannink Estate and along the Schipbeek. In Lettele you can enjoy a delicious meal at Restaurant BRAS-KOER. Just before Laren you cycle through the Verwolde Estate, where you will find a mix of Scots pine and deciduous forest. In Laren you will pass the Plaskerk.
