Description
Your route starts at De Pannekoekenmolen. The route starts at EuroParcs Gulperberg, a lovely overnight accommodation in the hills just below Gulpen. From here you immediately walk a bit over the Gulperberg, a 157-metre-high hill. At the top is a striking Maria monument from 1935. You then pass Hoeve De Bek on your left from 1663, which once served as a post house. You cross the Geul to Vijlen, where you can take a break at Hotel Vijlerhof. You enjoy the beautiful views through the Elzetterbos on the northern flank of the Vaalserberg. You descend again to the Geuldal and then walk into the Schweibergerbos, a slope forest between the edge of the Geul valley and on the eastern edge of the Plateau van Crapoel.
