Walking through the beautiful Heuvelland

From Limburgse Berg you can walk straight into the beautiful Heuvelland. Quiet forests, flowery meadows and beautiful panoramas are here for the taking.

Bemelerberg
The route starts at Brasserie Bie de Groeve. You can enjoy a coffee with something delicious here before you walk into the De Bemelerberg nature reserve. Many special flowers and plants grow here on the sparse grasslands and calcareous grasslands. In Bemelen you can see some monumental farms. It will not surprise you that they are built of marl, because in this region you regularly see a marl quarry along the footpath.

Hamster reserve Sibbe
After you have rounded the Schiepersberg, which lies like a real cape in the landscape, you walk to the Hamster reserve Sibbe. This area consists of a number of adjacent fields where grain, alfalfa and black radish are grown. The field fauna must provide a good living environment for the almost extinct Korenwolf. From afar you can already see the beautiful Sint-Monulphus and Gondulphuskerk in Berg. It is built with marl.
