Malpie [south of Valkenswaard[

I started from the Venbergsemolen on the Molenstraat in Valkenswaard. There is a spacious parking lot here and you can also have something to eat here or sit on the spacious terrace. An alternative starting point is the Maastrichterweg, where you can go to Herberg De Taamvenhoeve [house no. 156]. 

ENVIRONMENT:

The walk largely follows the popular cycle path across De Malpie towards Borkel and Schaft. Moreover, the Malpieheide is a popular natural monument, so you will also encounter many hikers. This walking route also crosses the Malpieheide and offers beautiful views (see photos) as you walk along excellently maintained footpaths. The route is then much the same and even runs along the Maastrichterweg for a considerable distance. 

By the way, I did NOT walk via junction 64. That's a good thing, because the trajectory from 65 to 62 is a nice ending. Here you walk between meadow and swamp area on the edge of Het Dommeldal. You have to pay close attention to where you walk here, given the unevenness and 'stinging weeds', but it was definitely worth it. 

A beautiful area, perhaps a bit much of the same, but it is good walking here and with two places where you can (I think) relax, this is a great choice for a brisk walk.
