Leenderbos East [Leende]

This route starts at a parking lot opposite Jagershoeve. This is immediately after the exit of the A2 (Leende/Valkenswaard) towards Valkenswaard on the left. If you come from Valkenswaard, of course, just before the A2 on the right.

An alternative starting point is the Strijperpad, which is located halfway between the A2 and Valkenswaard. This exit is clearly indicated and this starting point has the advantage that you can also walk various (shorter) signposted routes here. In the summer there is often an ice cream seller, because this is one of the busiest cycling junctions in the area. The cycle paths to Heeze, Leende-Strijp and Achelse Kluis respectively come together here.

ENVIRONMENT:

I started at the Jagershoeve, where the A2 is very audible at the beginning, but after about a kilometer it is no longer audible. You soon come to a sand drift, but the route mainly consists of sandy forest paths on which it is not pleasant to walk. The area is also quite beautiful and quiet, but not very varied. Part of the route follows the cycle path towards Heeze (after crossing the Valkenswaardseweg) and then runs across a beautiful heathland area. Here you can hear the traffic on the Valkenswaardseweg and there are sandy paths, so walking quickly is a lot more difficult here.
