Eindhoven/Dear Joe Mann

The route starts at Het Boshuys, a restaurant with a spacious parking lot. However, 100 meters away is the exit to the Joe Mann Pavilion, which (in my opinion) has a nicer terrace, because you can see the wooded area there. In addition, the food there is very good.

ENVIRONMENT:

This is a popular recreation area: a very popular MTB track runs here, joggers like to come here because of the convenient location and the wide paths. The big disadvantage is that you have no real peace anywhere: the A2 can be heard almost everywhere and the Rendac destructor also makes a lot of noise (and can be smelled very well in unfavorable winds). And as soon as they are out of hearing range, another plane will fly over from Eindhoven Airport.

I didn't find the walk surprising, although I must say that I already knew part of the route from my cycling trips. The surroundings of the Langven (between nodes 22 and 50) are the most beautiful. Part of that route runs through an area where dogs are not allowed (although no one seems to care about that). Downright bizarre is the Ecozone with a viewpoint: it is located at the destructor! Easily accessible and popular, but don't come here for the peace and quiet!
