Description
The Moorselse Hoeve is known as a bicycle café in the hamlet of Moorsel. west of Lierop. This is a good starting point for this route, which partly runs through the forests, but mainly on the dividing line between forest and heathland. Many of the (panoramic) photos that you find here were taken from the edge of the forest and give an impression of the heathland landscape.
The route also takes you to the memorial site for Melanie Sijbers, the 15-year-old girl from Geldrop who was murdered on September 6, 2006 and whose body was found here two weeks later.
Part of the walking route runs along the cycle path between junctions 96 and 95.
If you arrive at junction 64 from junction 63, you will notice that the junction does not clearly indicate which way to walk. DO NOT follow the river, but follow the mountain bike path.
