Walked the Buitenhuizen route with an extra loop along the Westbroekplas. Park the car at the Buitenhuizen ferry and from here follow the blue route of the hiking network. Via the grass dike along Zijkanaal C to junction 44. Keep diagonally to the right here and follow the blue arrows again. Past junction 40 at the care farm turn left under the highway and on the dike turn left towards Spaarndam. Keep left across the lock towards Spaandam. Turn right on the Spaarn-dammerdijk to rest point Villa Westend. Follow the road and turn right at the building. NB. Before the highway 50 turn left and then right follow the road along the highway until the tunnel under the highway. Turn left and follow the blue route again to Buitenhuizen.
