Description
It is wonderful to walk around Markelo. Enjoy the peace and space in the scenic landscape that Twente is so famous for. First you walk through Markelo. In this beautiful town you will see, among other things, the Martinus Church from 1840. De Hoop is a corn mill from 1839. In the countryside you walk over De Hulpe, a moraine of 40 meters high. Here is a replica of an old chapel. You walk to Stokkum between the fields and meadows. This town enjoys a protected village view, you will see some old characteristic farms. You walk along the Schipbeek to the Kattenberg, the second moraine on your route. Finally, you walk through the forest on the Markeloseberg. Time for a terrace at Grand Cafe De Kroon.
