Walking around Hoogerheide

Around Hoogerheide you can take a beautiful walk through the varied nature on the Brabantse Wal. From Woensdrecht you can walk to Hoogerheide at your leisure. At Het Raedthuys you can have a drink on a nice terrace before you go to the Koepelbos. Around the dome to which this forest owes its name, there are a number of beech trees that are locally called the Seven Sisters. From the edge of this forest you have a beautiful view of the bird-rich Noordpolder. At the edge of De Bunt you walk on a path that leads along the trenches where the bloody Battle of Woensdrecht was fought in October 1944. At junction 29 you walk into the Abdijbossen. Here you see pines, birches and elderberries. You walk along the beautiful Landgoed Kortenhoeff back to the starting point.
