Benkskesroute Sint Anthonis

Your route starts at Palinghuis Bardoel. This cycling tour is very special: you will pass all kinds of beautiful places, which are equipped with a'a benkske\\\' (bench). Via the Molenheide you will cycle into the Radioplassen, a beautiful recreation area that owes its name to a former radio receiving station that received signals from the Dutch East Indies from 1919 to 1924. After five years the staff was relocated, because they could not settle on the then, still undeveloped heath. Now it is a beautiful rural area. A large part of the route goes through the Sint Anthonisbos, where you can rest on the'Liegbenkske\\\'. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here between Scots pines and deciduous trees. The heath is grazed by a herd of Kempen Heideschapen.
