The Bommelerwaard is a wide river island that is wedged by the Waal, the Maas and the Afgedamde Maas. You will find plenty of peace, space and Gelderland cultural history.
From Gameren you leave in a westerly direction and cycle along the Waal. The Bommelerwaard is also called river island: surrounded by the Waal and the Maas, this beautiful area is characterized by many attractions. Consider, for example, historic churches and castles, but you also cycle through picturesque villages and over winding dikes. Enjoy all the natural beauty that this area has to offer. De Bommelerwaard is a landlord named after Bommel, the local name for Zaltbommel.
