Description
It is wonderful to cycle through the Brabant polder around the Brabant Oudenbosch. In the village itself you will see some beautiful sights, such as a copy of St. Peter's Basilica.
Oudenbosch
The route starts in the middle of Oudenbosch. From this beautiful village you cycle into the polders with their meadows and arable lands. The kilometers seem to pass by automatically here, while you enjoy the peace and quiet and the old farms that you see here and there along the road. On the Mark-Vlietkanaal you will pass Gastel Sfeer, a friendly Brabant brown café. You can enjoy a terrace here before cycling through the countryside to Roosendaal.
St. Peter's basilica
Just outside Roosendaal you pass the monumental Heimolen, a flour mill from 1844. Further on you pass Breda International Airport, the new name for the small Seppe Airport. De Toekomst is a flour mill from 1862. Back in Oudenbosch you pass the impressive Basilica of Saints Agatha and Barbara. This building dates from 1880, it is a (smaller) copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
