Walking across the Strabrechtse Heide

There are beautiful walks near Someren. Then you walk to the Strabrechtse Heide. The path leads you through the woods for a while, after which you suddenly find yourself on a vast heathland. Shrub and heather are 'mown' here by a flock of Kempen Heath sheep. Just before junction 57 you can walk to a bird watching hut to take a look at the Beuven. Just before junction 89 you pass the Hoenderboompaal. It is a copy of the pole that once marked the border between five municipalities here. The route ends with a terrace at Boscafe De Soete Inval.
