Discover the Heijkersbroek and the beautifully meandering Tungelerbeek near Ell: a special piece of nature in Leudal. You might even spot a kingfisher!
Heijkersbroek
You walk through the village past St. Anthony Abbot, a striking church. Here you can see beautiful wooden statues from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. You walk on to a swampy nature reserve west of Ell: the Heijkersbroek. The tall trees of this poplar forest wave at you from afar. You will find a cultural forest around the fish pond.
Tungelerbeek
The area is demarcated by the beautiful Tungelerbeek. This watercourse has been returned to its natural state in recent years. More and more birds can be spotted here. If you are lucky you might see the kingfisher skimming over the stream in a bright blue flash. A loop through the rural countryside brings you back to your starting point.
