Drentse Fiets4Daagse Route 60 km Thursday July 2017

Today all routes go to the museum village of Orvelte, including the 60 km!
It is very worthwhile to take a look at the village. From there we go via Witteven towards Oud Aalden, also a village with old farms (.... km). Then you pass the Aalderstroom and then approach the village of Benneveld. When you leave the village, you will see the Havezate de Klencke and the De Klencke estate on your right. (....km) The route then continues between the farmlands to Den Hool (. ..km) where also in one of the farms is the Drensche Schans where beer is brewed and whiskey is made from home-grown grain. Then towards Dalen, an originally old esdorp with an old church containing a tower clock from 1629. Dalen is also known for its elongated patron of two windmills that are still in use. You are now halfway through the route, and head towards Zwinderen and pass the Hoogeveensevaart towards the village of Gees, a protected village view. Where there is also an ice cream parlor where you can enjoy a delicious ice cream. Here the 40 km riders will also join you on the route. If you then head towards Nieuw-Balinge, you will pass the Geeserstroom nature reserve, where the meadows were returned to nature in the early 2000s. Then through one of the beautiful forests (approx. 1600 ha) of Drenthe we arrive in the village of Nieuw-Balinge. You then go through and along the unique Mantingerzand nature reserve with old juniper forests and sand drifts on the right.
At Mantinge where the recently deceased cartoonist lived, all routes come together and then again between the beautiful nature called the Mantingerbos.
From there the last stretch via Eursinge to Westerbork.
