Cycling around Tholen

There are surprisingly nice towns on Tholen, such as the fortified town of Tholen and Sint-Maartensdijk. In the extensive polders you will find an ideal cycling landscape, because it is spacious and quiet. You start the route at the parking lot in Stavenisse. You drive along winding roads between fields, grasslands and fruit orchards to Sint-Maartensdijk. In the old city center of Tholen you can still experience the historic atmosphere of a fortified town. The ramparts and fortifications, for example, are still largely intact. You will also see beautiful monumental buildings there. Further on, in Oud-Vossemeer, you can take a break at the Huys van Roosevelt. You cycle further through the vast farmland landscape to Sint Annaland. You then drive back to your starting point along the shore of the Oosterschelde National Park. What beautiful views today!
