The island of Tholen is perfect for a day of cycling with a high level of peace and space. You will also discover the characteristic fortified town of Tholen. Take your time to discover this charming town and take a break at Hart van Tholen! De Hoop is a corn mill from 1736, the tower mill is beautifully situated on the city wall of Tholen. The route starts at the edge of Oud-Vossemeer. You cycle through the countryside on narrow, winding roads. You see fields, flowery meadows and an orchard here and there. It is wonderfully quiet in this sparsely populated area. And the water is never far away. For example, you cycle a bit along the Oosterschelde. From the dike you have beautiful views here! You cycle back to Oud-Vossemeer via the Scheldt-Rhine Canal.
