Medieval church
You leave from Restaurant de Oudekeuken towards the center of Castricum. Castricum is very old, it has been continuously inhabited since the early Middle Ages. The medieval village church is beautifully preserved. The nave is the oldest part of the church, it consists almost entirely of tuff stone. Historical fact: the Battle of Castricum took place in 1799, between the French and Dutch on one side and the British and Russians on the other.
