Cycling through old towns on Voorne-Putten

There is a surprising amount to experience on Voorne-Putten. As the first row along the edge of Voornes Duin. On the left lies untouched nature, on the right you look out over wide polders. Then you cycle a bit through Oostvoorne. Here you pass the Oostvoorne, a corn mill from 1821. You pass through the old center of Brielle, the largely seventeenth-century fortress is one of the best preserved defenses in the Netherlands. Step off to enjoy the historic atmosphere! The route takes you further along the Geuzenkreek, the Brielse Meer and the harbor of Zwartewaal. You drive through the polder to the picturesque Hellevoetsluis with its historic harbor. You have a beautiful view of the Haringvliet, the former estuary that was closed in 1970. The route ends at De IJsboerin.
