Description

Mini Camping De Leuve hoeve is an ideal base for a day of cycling through the area around Leerdam and Beesd. First, you can loosen up your legs on the dike that runs along the Linge. Here you can enjoy views of the rippling water, grasslands and farms. Along the river you cycle into the historic heart of Leerdam. Here you can see the fifteenth-century Grote Kerk. Then you cycle over the Diefdijk, which was built in the Middle Ages, through the polders. At junction 46 you pass the Wiel van Bassa, which was created by a dike breach in 1573. You cycle through the Mariënwaerdt estate, further on you cycle through the picturesque Beesd. Acquoy is also worth a visit, it enjoys a protected village view. Fort Asperen is the last attraction on your route.
