Description

Uitspanning Mini Camping De Leuve Hoeve is an ideal base for a day of cycling through the surroundings of Leerdam and Beesd. First you loosen your legs on the dike that runs along the Linge. Here you can enjoy views over the rippling water, grasslands and farms. You enter the historic heart of Leerdam along the river. Here you can see the fifteenth-century Grote Kerk. You then cycle over the Diefdijk, which was built in the Middle Ages, through the polders. At junction 46 you pass the Wheel of Bassa, which was created by a dike breach in 1573. You drive through Landgoed Mariënwaerdt, and further on you cycle through picturesque Beesd. Acquoy can also be there, it enjoys a protected village view. Fort Asperen is the last point of interest on your route.
