Dunes, beach and lakes of Voorne-Putten

Dunes
You start at the edge of the Oostvoornse Meer. First enjoy a drink on the terrace at Pavilion Stormvogel. Or stretch out on the beach! From the dike you will later have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful view of the waves of the North Sea. Then you drive through the wooded dunes between Oostvoorne and Rockanje, where you will see willows, oaks, ash and alders.

Old Oostvoorne
There once was a tram line from Rotterdam to the beach boulevard of Oostvoorne. Many Rotterdammers still come here for a day at the seaside. The old village center includes the restored ruins of the medieval Jacoba Castle, the country residence of Jacoba of Bavaria. Just outside the village is the Oostvoorne, a flour mill from 1821. You return to the starting point via a beautiful cycle path along the Brielse Meer. What a change!
