Description
Discover the two faces of Maasvlakte 2. Large container ships on the Maas, rare birds around the Oostvoornse Meer. Nature and industry lie side by side here. You start at Paviljoen Stormvogel, a wonderful place to start the day with a cup of coffee. The view over the beach and the Oostvoornse Meer immediately puts you in a holiday mood. You cycle along the water towards Futureland, you may even spot special bird species! A little later you can see those mighty ships from even closer, when you cross over to Hoek van Holland with the Fast Ferry. Maassluis is a medieval town that became world famous in the nineteenth century for its towage company. You will still find the National Towage Museum there.
