Description
Discover the two faces of the Second Maasvlakte. Large container ships on the Maas, rare birds around the Oostvoornse Meer. Nature and industry lie side by side here. The view over the beach and the Oostvoornse Meer immediately puts you in the holiday mood. You cycle along the water towards Futureland, and you might spot special bird species! A little later you will see those mighty ships even closer when you cross to Hoek van Holland with the Fast Ferry. Maassluis is a medieval town that became world famous in the nineteenth century because of a towing company. You will still find the National Towing Museum there.
