Description

The Veluwe forests and heathlands are a beautiful backdrop for a day of cycling. Among all that nature you will discover special places, such as the lovely village of Hoog-Soeren. You drive out of the city through the woods, past the Execution Monument Hoog Soeren. Just above Hoog-Soeren you will discover the Aardhuis. This former hunting chalet of William III is now a museum. Outside you can see wild boars, a beautiful sight. After you have crossed the heath of the Uddelsche Buurtveld, you will pass beautiful lakes just before Uddel: the Uddelermeer and the Bleekemeer. You cycle back to Apeldoorn via Elspeet and the Elspeterbos.
