A vast polder landscape and a lot of water: here you cycle on the border of Brabant and Zeeland. A wonderfully quiet, rural area where you can enjoy beautiful views.
Fort Henry
After you start in Sint Philipsland you immediately cycle a long way along the water of the Krabbenkreek. This will immediately put you in the mood for a day out! In West Brabant you drive past Fort Henricus. It was built in 1626 and belonged to the West Brabant Waterline. It has five bastions and a moat. The fort was put on alert for the last time in 1809, when the British threatened to invade Zeeland.
Tholen
On the other side of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal you enter Tholen, one of the smaller islands in Zeeland. Everywhere you smell the salty scent of the sea. With its picturesque towns and tranquil nature, it is a wonderful area for a day of cycling. A little further on at Oud-Vossemeer, get off at De Stelhoek, a nice farm shop with numerous Zeeland regional products. You can also eat artisan ice cream on the terrace!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
