Description

This route takes you through the rolling border area between Bocholtz and Aachen. Put on your walking shoes to enjoy beautiful views and a rich cultural history.

Roman villa
Then you walk to the hamlet of Vlengendaal. You see old farms, you also pass the site where the remains of a Roman villa were discovered in 1911. At border post 207 you enter Germany and climb the Vetschauer Berg, a hill that forms the beginning of the Eiffel. What a panorama\\\'s!

Dragon teeth
In the forest you will find some bunkers: remnants of the Westwall (also called Siegfriedlinie), a German defense line. In the fields are still the characteristic dragon's teeth that impeded the passage of tanks. You continue through the meadows and forests through the German hills. What a wonderfully peaceful walk here! Before you return to the Netherlands, you will walk through picturesque Orsbach.
