Description
Utrecht is home to one of the most beautiful historic city centers in the Netherlands. You will also find plenty of cultural history in the outlying area: you will pass through well-preserved towns such as IJsselstein, Oudewater and Woerden.
Medieval IJsselstein
Cycling through old Utrecht means enjoying the historic atmosphere, but also the cosiness. In the polder you will see many monumental old farms along the way.
Old Old Water
Oudewater is the oldest city in the Green Heart, where you will find, among other things, the Rope Museum. You drive past farms and meadows to Woerden, an ancient town. It was mainly designed in the Middle Ages with a castle, ramparts and canals. Woerden Castle is one of the highlights of your route. Via Vleuten you drive through the old Utrecht back to your starting point.
