Description
This route takes you from Wijk bij Duurstede through the Kromme Rijnstreek. First you loosen your legs, while looking out over the water of the Nederrijn. You make a circle around the castle park, after which you cycle into the polder landscape of the Kromme Rijnstreek. In picturesque Werkhoven you can enjoy the historic atmosphere. Just outside the village you pass the Rhine and Weert, a corn mill from 1882. You drive past Landgoed Beverweerd, after which you make a shortcut to Driebergen. Here you can get off for a nice meal on the terrace of Health Center Hoenderdaal. Back in the Kromme Rijnstreek you will pass the estates of Sterkenburg and Hinderstein. Finally, you cycle through the historic heart of Wijk bij Duurstede.
