Cycling route Wijk bij Duurstede and Kromme Rijnstreek

This route takes you from Wijk bij Duurstede through the Kromme Rijnstreek. First you will loosen up your legs, while looking out over the water of the Nederrijn. You will make a lap around the castle park, after which you will cycle into the polder landscape of the Kromme Rijnstreek. In the picturesque Werkhoven you can enjoy the historic atmosphere. Just outside the village you will pass the Rhine and Weert, a corn mill from 1882. You will cycle past the Beverweerd estate, after which you will make a shortcut to Driebergen. Here you can get off for a nice meal on the terrace of Health Center Hoenderdaal. Back in the Kromme Rijnstreek you will pass the country estates Sterkenburg and Hinderstein, among others. Finally you will cycle through the historic heart of Wijk bij Duurstede.
