Castle route through the green Achterhoek

The Achterhoek is beautifully authentic, a beautiful region to spend a day cycling through castles and old farms. Along the way you can enjoy the greenery and the nice villages. A wonderful day out! After a cup of coffee on the beautiful terrace of Café Restaurant Florijn, you cycle to Erve Brooks Museum Farm and to Den Bramel Castle. In picturesque Vorden you can enjoy the characteristic atmosphere. Here you will see, among other things, the village church, which originally dates from the thirteenth century. Vorden is a real castle village. Further on you will pass Huis Kieftskamp, a country residence dating from 1776. A little further on, in the hamlet of Linde, you will see the nineteenth-century mill Ons Belang, where the miller regularly gives guided tours. You cycle back to your starting point via the rural areas of Ruurlo and Borculo.
