Cycling along the Maas and Waal

This route takes you through old villages along the Maas and Waal. You start at the edge of Rossum, a picturesque town with a rich history. Via Kerkdriel and Hedel you cycle to Noord-Brabant. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here over the dike along the Maas, while you look out over the water and the meadows. You pass Museumgemaal Caners, in Lith you cross the river and cycle through the Land van Maas en Waal. From Wamel the route takes you over the dike along the Waal further. Here you have beautiful views over the river and the floodplains. Finally you cycle past Nieuw Fort Sint Andries. At Bistro In Petto it is time for a terrace with a view over the Waal!
