Description
This beautiful watery route takes you close to the banks of the Waal, wonderful for a summer day. Along the way you will discover beautiful historical places such as Neerijnen Castle and the old city of Tiel.
Neerijnen Castle
In Neerijnen you can taste the historic atmosphere: the town enjoys a protected village view. The beautiful Neerijnen Castle originally dates from the fourteenth century. What a beautiful heritage!
Historical Tiel
From the dike along the Waal you look out over the rippling water and flower-rich grasslands. A view that never bores. Along the route you will come across some beautiful old buildings, such as the De Bol mill from 1867. You drive through Tiel, which was founded in 850-1100. It is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands! At Poelzicht you can enjoy a delicious meal and drive back through the Linge valley to Geldermalsen.
