Walking through the Van der Huchtbos

Discover a special part of the Veluwe: the Van der Huchtbos, a beautiful rolling forest with coniferous and deciduous wood on the high eastern edge of the Veluwe. Oak avenues, winding forest paths and a meltwater valley: this is a wonderful walking area. The estate was founded by the Orange League of Order, founded in 1893. With the construction of homes, job creation projects and heathland reclamation, this organization was committed to helping the less well-off. You will see many avenues of American oak here, which have been planted on a large scale since 1825. You will also come across a meltwater valley at the foot of the Kooiberg, created by melting snow.
