Get a breath of fresh air on the coast of Walcheren

Old churches, quiet polders and of course beautiful beaches where you can get a breath of fresh air: that always makes cycling in Zeeland so much fun. This route takes you across Noord-Beveland and Walcheren.

Banjaard beach
The route starts at Verscentrum Sandee. Before you cycle into the polder, you can sit on the terrace for a coffee with homemade apple pie. You soon reach the coastline, where you have a beautiful view of the sea and the Oosterscheldekering. You also drive past Banjaardstrand, one of the cleanest beaches in the Netherlands. You cycle across the Veerse Gatdam, completed in 1961, the third structure of the Delta Works. Time to get some fresh air!

Duinbeek Estate
It is also wonderful to cycle on Walcheren. You drive past the Duinbeek Estate. The current mansion with characteristic tower dates from 1715. In Serooskerke you will pass the fifteenth-century Johanneskerk. In Vrouwenpolder you pass the Pilgrim Church from 1622. Back on Noord-Beveland you cycle through the woods and along the Veerse Meer before you return to Kamperland. Will you grab a terrace at Verscentrum Sandee?
