Description
Mills, water and vast polders: you will experience it with this route through the Alblasserwaard. You will also take in a part of the Biesbosch. From the edge of Dordrecht you cycle to Landgoed Dordwijk, which was built around 1635. At the entrance you will see a castle farm that partly dates back to the time it was founded. The Alblasserwaard is a vast polder area that mainly consists of meadows that are crisscrossed by countless ditches. Cycling on the winding dikes along canals and rivers is wonderful here. Along the Alblas in Alblasserdam and Bleskensgraaf you can enjoy the atmosphere of times gone by.
