Mills, water and vast polders: you will experience it with this route through the Alblasserwaard. You also get a piece of the Biesbosch. From the edge of Dordrecht you cycle to the Dordwijk Estate, which was built around 1635. At the entrance you will see a castle farm that partly dates from the foundation period. The Alblasserwaard is a vast polder area that mainly consists of meadows crossed by numerous ditches. It is wonderful to cycle here on the winding dikes along canals and rivers. Along the Alblas in Alblasserdam and Bleskensgraaf you can enjoy the atmosphere of times gone by.
