Straight through forests and dunes near Rockanje

Ancient creek
You cycle through the dunes and forests of the nature reserve. Further on, you pass the Rockanje, a beautiful white windmill from 1718. Still further along, you ride past Meertje de Waal, a nature reserve of grasslands, reeds, and swamp forests. This small area developed around the Strype, an ancient creek.

Tenellaplas Visitor Center
At junction 31, you can catch a glimpse of the fortress of Brielle, one of the best-preserved defensive works in the Netherlands. Before driving into picturesque Oostvoorne, you will pass a windmill dating back to 1821: Molen Oostvoorne. A little further on, take a look at the nature park at the Tenellaplas Visitor Centre: you will find all the biotopes from Voornes Duin gathered there. Afterwards, you will arrive back at Restaurant Paviljoen De Meidoorn. Stop there for a well-deserved bite to eat and a drink.

Museum in the Half Moon
On the way, you can take a look at Museum in den Halven Maen. Here you will find all kinds of nostalgic everyday objects and, among other things, an old grocery store. You really feel like you've stepped back in time for a moment. Stock up on some tasty sweets at the old-fashioned candy shop while you're there.
