On foot through Brabant estates

Near Zundert in Brabant you can enjoy walking through three estates: Wallsteijn, the Oude Buisse Heide and De Moeren. Put on your walking shoes and experience how beautiful and peaceful it is here!

The Moeren
The route starts at't Pannehûske. You can have a drink on the terrace of this attractive inn before walking into the countryside. Along the path you will see an alder coppice embankment, a rare phenomenon in Brabant. Further on you will pass De Moeren, a country house from 1818. The associated farms are also a feast for the eyes. Van Gogh painted his first landscapes in the surrounding nature reserve.

Buisse Heide
An artistic resting place has been created in the middle of the Buisse Heide where you can enjoy the landscape from Van Gogh's youth. Most of Brabant once looked like this. Just past junction 25 you walk past a tea dome that was previously widely used by the artistic couple Roland Holst. The route takes you over several beech avenues to the starting point: paths where the ladies of rank used to be able to walk in the shade so that they could maintain their fair complexion.
