On foot through Brabant estates

Near the Brabant town of Zundert you can enjoy a lovely walk on three estates: Wallsteijn, the Oude Buisse Heide and De Moeren. Put on your hiking boots and experience how beautiful and peaceful it is here!

The Nuts
The route starts at't Pannehûske. You can have a drink on the terrace of this atmospheric inn before you walk into the countryside. Along the path you will see a coppice wall for alders, a rare phenomenon in Brabant. Further on you will pass De Moeren, a country house from 1818. The accompanying farms are also a feast for the high. Van Gogh painted his first landscapes in the surrounding nature reserve.

Buisse Heide
An artistic resting place has been created in the middle of the Buisse Heide where you can enjoy the landscape of Van Gogh's youth. Most of Brabant used to look like this. Just past junction 25 you walk past a tea house that used to be used a lot by the artistic couple Roland Holst. The route leads you over a few beech avenues to the starting point: paths where the ladies of standing used to be able to walk in the shade, so that they kept their white complexion.
