You start your trip on the edge of Groesbeek on a lateral moraine from the penultimate ice age. From here you have a beautiful view over the valley of Groesbeek. This way you get a taste of what the landscape you will be walking through looks like. From this spot you can walk straight into the woods. Walk endlessly through beech avenues and past rhododendrons and fully recharge your battery. Along the way you walk along the edge of the Sint-Jansberg and further you cross the Mookerheide. At the end of the route you also walk a bit through Groesbeek. This cozy village is known as a wine village. Excuse enough to take a break with a glass of wine.

In Groesbeek you will pass another small nature reserve: De Foeperpot.'Foeperen\\' is Groesbeeks for'heaves\\\'. The peat soil springs with it when you walk on it. Thanks to that moisture, you can't build here. Fortunately, because there are separate plant species such as the spotted orchid that will not be lost this way.
