De Liemers is a wonderful cycling region. Enjoy ancient villages and small-scale landscapes: authenticity is of paramount importance here.
Saint Gallus Church
In the countryside it is immediately wonderful to make kilometers, while driving on low-traffic roads between the meadows and fields. You pass corn mill de Bernadette from 1861. In Angerlo you pass the Sint-Gallus church, which originally dates from the twelfth century. What a picture!
Hail cross
After a beautiful winding through the idyllic bocage landscape, you arrive at the edge of Didam past Havezate De Luynhorst. There was already a country house here in the fourteenth century. The current building looks more like a farm than a country estate. Just past junction 44 in Kilder you will pass a hail cross: an old Catholic custom to ward off evil spirits, so that the crops are not damaged by hail.
