Sea, vast dune forests and bulb fields: you will find it all around Castricum. In Egmond aan den Hoef you will become acquainted with the heritage of Kasteel Egmond.
North Holland Dune Reserve
This nature reserve consists of an alternation of dune tops, bushes and an unprecedented silence. You can buy your ticket at one of the entrances with a pin or credit card. The site of the PWN administrator explains how to do this using your smartphone.
Castle Egmond
The stately surroundings of Egmond Castle in Egmond aan den Hoef enjoy a protected village view. A fortress stood here from 1129 to 1798. In the thirties of the last century the remains were found in the swamp, these remains can still be visited. The thirteenth-century castle chapel is still standing! In the outskirts of Limmen, the many bulb fields add extra color to your route. You cover the last kilometers in the North Holland Dune Reserve.
