A detour around Cromvoirt

Your route starts at De Oude Herberg. Cromvoirt is an authentic Brabant village. This walk introduces you to the small-scale cultural landscape around the village. In the countryside you walk onto the Cromvoirtsedijk. Here you have beautiful views of the fields and Cromvoirt. At junction 24 you see a monumental long-facade farm, the oldest part dates from 1752. A characteristic wooded bank runs along the dike. You will also find lush vegetation here. You will see different trees, such as poplar, beech, American oak and maple. Shrubs such as rowan, holly and broom also grow there. On the way back you walk past the Iron Man. This recreational lake is named after the nickname of the steam dredging mill that dug the pit in the nineteenth century.
