A nice walk through Oldemarkt

Oldemarkt is a village in the Kop van Overijssel. Put on your hiking boots and come and experience for yourself how beautiful it is here. In the outside area you will find a refreshing tranquility.

Venice of the North
The route starts at Restaurant Het Hof van Holland. You can have a drink and a meal here at your leisure before you set off. When you walk out of Oldemarkt, you make a loop through an old hedgerow landscape with beautiful flora. Back in the main street of Oldemarkt you will see some beautiful nineteenth-century buildings. You will pass the Sint-Willibrordus church from 1883. Right next to it is a building with two stepped gables: this building dates from 1637!

reformed Church
At the Market Square you can see the beautiful Reformed Church, it was originally built in the fifteenth century. You walk along the marina. Here you can admire Het Veerhuis, this building dates from 1821. You walk into the Broeklanden, a wide peat area. It is wonderfully quiet here. You can walk in Friesland from junction A38 to A39. In Oldemarkt it is time for a terrace at Restaurant Het Hof van Holland.
