This route takes you through the Tielerwaard, the Gelderland region that is part of the Betuwe. In this sparsely populated area you will find peace, vast polders and fruit orchards. And of course plenty of cultural history! The route starts at Fort Vuren, completed in 1844, one of the nicest forts of the New Dutch Waterline. You are welcome here for an excellent cup of coffee, lunch or dinner. You cycle several kilometers along the natural banks of the Linge. It is also nice to pedal along the Waal. You can get a breath of fresh air while enjoying views of the rippling water and church towers on the other side of the river.
