A tour around Dordrecht from the Biesbosch

In the outskirts of Dordrecht it is wonderful to cycle through the Dutch part of the Biesbosch. Here you can fully enjoy the peace, space and nature. From the banks of the Nieuwe Merwede you drive deeper into the Island of Dordrecht. In nature park De Elzen you drive through a relatively young and moist forest. The adjacent Louisa- & Cannemanspolder is a park forest where you drive between an orchard and wild grasslands. At De Watertoren Hotel & Restaurant you can grab a cozy terrace before exploring Dordrecht. Thanks to the many historic buildings, this city is well worth a visit. In the Wijnhaven you can see the Groothoofdspoort, a city gate from the fifteenth century. You drive back to the starting point along the Wantij.
