Description
Put on your walking shoes for a lovely walk through the old center of Gouda. In the outlying area you walk along the Hollandse IJssel and the Reeuwijkse Plassen. You walk onto the Markt, where you see the beautiful fifteenth-century town hall, the icon of the city. The Sint-Janskerk is also beautiful. Then you explore the countryside. You walk along the Hollandse IJssel and in the meantime you look out over the rippling water. From the Vlietdijk you have a beautiful view over the Reeuwijkse Plassen. The route also leads you through the Goudse Hout, a natural recreation area.
