From Boulevard Nesselande you can make a beautiful bike ride through South Holland. You cycle along waterways, through the Reeuwijkse Plassen and through historical towns such as Gouda.
Picturesque Moordrecht
At Boulevard Nesselande on the Zevenhuizerplas you can first have a drink and a bite to eat on one of the cozy terraces. On the Hollandse IJssel you will pass Windlust, a beautiful corn mill from 1776. From the dike along the river you have beautiful views. On the horizon you can see Moordrecht coming closer. This place enjoys a protected village view, you can here at your leisure sniff the historical atmosphere.
Characteristic Gouda
Gouda also has a lot of cultural history to offer, the old city centre has a high percentage of characteristic monumental buildings. Along the Reeuwijkse Plassen are beautiful wooden quays and reed beds. In the rectangular shape of the lakes you can see how the former peat lands were divided into plots at the time.
