Description
From Boulevard Nesselande you can make a beautiful bike ride through South Holland. You cycle along watercourses, through the Reeuwijkse Plassen and through historic towns such as Gouda.

At Boulevard Nesselande on the Zevenhuizerplas you can first have a drink and eat on one of the cozy terraces. On the Hollandse IJssel you will pass Windlust, a beautiful corn mill from 1776. From the dike along the river you have beautiful views. On the horizon you can see Moorrecht coming closer. This town enjoys a protected village view, where you can enjoy the historic atmosphere at your leisure.
Characteristic Gouda
There is also a lot of cultural history in Gouda, the old center has a high content of characteristic monumental buildings. There are beautiful wood quays and reed beds along the Reeuwijkse Plassen. In the rectangular shape of the lakes you can see how the former peat soils were parceled out at the time. The peat was used by potteries and beer brewers in Gouda, among others. You drive back through the wide polder to the starting point of your route.
